Album Review:
Nearly six years since their last album, Course of Nature returns with Damaged. For their latest foray into the world of rock and roll, they smartly brought producer David Bendeth on board. This album is a solid effort by a talented band.
The song-writing on this album is very straight forward. The music ploughs ahead and lacks a lot of musical twists and turns. But by no means is this a flaw... it's a hard rock recording at its core, with some modern elements tossed in. It's nothing groundbreaking, but thoroughly enjoyable none the less.
Only time will tell how Damaged will be received by the masses. I hear lot of Nickelback, Daughtry, and Breaking Benjamin in Course of Nature's sound, which is probably a contributing factor to their appeal. If you're a fan of the genre, you will like this album a lot.
