Album Review:

Dub Trio's brand of dub-rock is a refreshing alternative to the normal pretentiousness of art-rock instrumental albums. Like any decent instrumental album, there is plenty of studio experimentation with complex layers, sounds, effects, and sometimes wandering arrangements, but the music is never presented in a way that seems over the average listener's head.

They've also included the additional bonus of a guest vocal performance on the track "No Flag" by Ipecac Recordings co-founder Mike Patton. The performance is a great fit because Patton is a master at adding to a composition without overwhelming it.

Another Sound Is Dying rocks from beginning to end. The band not only rocks out, but has a lot of fun in the studio experimenting with different audio layers and recording techniques. This may not be music that you'll hear on the radio, but the good news is that this isn't the shit you hear on the radio.
