Album Review:
With Funeral for Yesterday, Kittie presents the listener with a driving high-energy album from beginning to end. This is a great album when you need to listen to hard music that'll keep you moving.
The music is intense, but the sound tends to be unbalanced. It's unfortunate that Morgan Lander's vocal performance is at times buried beneath the production, almost out of place. The rest of the music, especially the backing vocals, sounds great.
Have no doubt that Kittie does not disappoint. They've done a great job in putting forth some serious and aggressive music. This is a energetic and driving album that won't allow you to let your guard down, even for a moment. Be careful to watch your speedometer if you listen this album while driving. My favorite tracks are "Funeral for Yesterday", "Sweet Destruction (Interlude)", and "The Change."
